Zelda Ocarina of Time

Developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time first released in Japan and North America in November 1998. It brought the series into 3D on Nintendo 64 without losing its appetite for secrets, strange characters, and cleverly tangled dungeons. Its Z-targeting system gave sword fights a readable rhythm, while context-sensitive controls helped make a much larger Hyrule feel surprisingly natural to explore. The clever part wasn’t just the extra dimension. Switching between young and adult Link turned familiar places into puzzles, with changes across seven years giving the adventure real emotional weight. The ocarina made music something you played, not just heard, and Koji Kondo’s score gave locations their own unmistakable personalities. Released to extraordinary critical acclaim, Ocarina of Time became a major reference point for 3D action-adventure design—and its influence reaches well beyond Zelda. This US copy is loose and in mint condition, an uncommon find here in the shop. It was inspected, cleaned and tested by hand at Broad Street Exchange in Woodbury, NJ.
