Pokemon Violet

Pokemon Violet brought the series’ ninth generation to Nintendo Switch in 2022, launching in the US as part of a worldwide release alongside Pokemon Scarlet. Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, it introduced Paldea, a region inspired by the Iberian Peninsula. Its biggest change was structural: an open world with three main story paths, letting players explore beyond the traditional march from one Gym to the next.Violet pairs that freedom with Miraidon, a futuristic Legendary Pokemon that doubles as your ride across Paldea. The Terastal phenomenon adds another layer to battles by letting a Pokemon take on its Tera Type, creating some clever opportunities to rethink familiar matchups. Four-player Union Circle sessions also let friends explore together. Technical problems, particularly uneven performance and visual glitches, drew substantial criticism at release, but the broader exploration and character-driven stories gave this generation a distinct identity. Violet also has version-exclusive Pokemon, making trading with Scarlet players part of completing the Pokedex.This US copy is complete in box and in good condition. It was inspected, cleaned and tested by hand at Broad Street Exchange in Woodbury, NJ.
