Mario Kart 7 brought Nintendo’s kart-racing series to Nintendo 3DS in 2011, launching in Japan before reaching Europe and North America that same year. Developed by Nintendo EAD with Retro Studios and published by Nintendo, it gave the familiar racing formula a clever mechanical shake-up: gliders opened aerial routes, underwater driving expanded the courses, and interchangeable kart bodies, tires, and gliders let players tune their rides. Coins also returned to the racing, rewarding a clean line with a little extra speed.Its 32 courses split evenly between new tracks and returning favorites, with standouts like Music Park and a Rainbow Road built as one continuous course rather than three repeated laps. Retro Studios’ involvement also made the return of Donkey Kong Country Returns’ jungle scenery in DK Jungle especially fitting. Mario Kart 7 eventually became the best-selling Nintendo 3DS game, giving those small design changes a very large audience. This is the Japanese release; Nintendo 3DS cartridges are region-locked, so it requires a compatible Japanese-region system.This copy is complete in box and in good condition.
