Developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo, Mario and Luigi RPG 4 arrived on Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2013 as Mario & Luigi RPG4: Dream Adventure. Released overseas as Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, it was the fourth entry in the brothers’ RPG series and its first built for Nintendo 3DS. The setting is Pi’illo Island, where Luigi’s sleeping mind becomes just as important as Mario’s ability to land a well-timed jump.The game alternates between exploring the island and navigating side-scrolling dream worlds, where Luigi can multiply into crowds or reshape the scenery through interactions with his sleeping face on the touch screen. Battles keep the series’ button-timed attacks and active dodging, making even an ordinary enemy encounter something you actually play rather than simply select from a menu. Yoko Shimomura’s soundtrack gives the comedy and elaborate boss fights plenty of personality. This Japanese copy has Japanese-language text and requires compatible Japanese-region Nintendo 3DS hardware; standard North American systems are region-locked.This copy is complete in box and in mint condition.
