Gears of War 2

Developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Gears of War 2 released for Xbox 360 in North America in 2008. It expanded the original’s cover-based shooting into a bigger campaign, following Marcus Fenix, Dominic Santiago, and Delta Squad as humanity took the fight deeper into Locust territory. The scale grew, but the fundamentals stayed satisfyingly physical: snapping into cover, timing active reloads, and deciding when a chainsaw bayonet was a reasonable answer to a problem. Its most lasting addition was Horde, a cooperative mode where up to five players faced 50 increasingly punishing waves of enemies. The setup made positioning, teamwork, and scrambling for ammunition just as important as a steady aim, and helped establish wave-based survival as a fixture of multiplayer shooters. The campaign also supported two-player co-op, while new mechanics such as chainsaw duels and using wounded enemies as shields gave returning players more options. Beneath the spectacle, Dom’s search for his wife brought a more personal thread to the sequel. This US copy of Gears of War 2 for Xbox 360 is complete in box and in good condition.
