Doom 3 Limited Collector's Edition

Doom 3 Limited Collector's Edition brought id Software’s darker take on Doom to Xbox (Original) in North America in 2005, published by Activision. The game first appeared on PC in 2004, with Vicarious Visions handling the Xbox adaptation. Rather than simply repeating the originals’ fast, sprawling firefights, Doom 3 leaned into claustrophobic corridors, dramatic lighting, and the sounds of a Mars research facility coming apart around you. Having to choose between holding a flashlight and holding a weapon made even an ordinary doorway feel suspicious.The Xbox version was an impressive adaptation of a demanding PC game, and it added a two-player cooperative mode designed specifically for the console release. The Limited Collector’s Edition also offered playable versions of The Ultimate Doom and Doom II, putting the series’ early, maze-heavy action alongside its more deliberate horror reinvention. That contrast makes this edition particularly interesting: three games sharing the same demonic DNA, but very different ideas about how to keep you on edge.This US copy is complete in box and in good condition, and it’s an uncommon find in our shop. It was inspected, cleaned and tested by hand at Broad Street Exchange in Woodbury, NJ.
