Best of Platinum Hits: Halo

Best of Platinum Hits: Halo for Xbox (Original) is a budget-label reissue of Halo: Combat Evolved, developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The original launched alongside Xbox in North America in 2001, introducing Master Chief, Cortana, and a mysterious ringworld that turned a military science-fiction setup into something stranger. This US edition carries the later value-line branding rather than the original launch packaging.Halo helped define console shooters through its two-weapon limit, rechargeable energy shield, readable controls, and battles that encouraged switching between guns, grenades, and melee attacks. Its broad outdoor encounters made vehicles like the Warthog feel integral rather than decorative, while Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori’s score gave the action a distinctive mix of choral atmosphere and percussion. Two-player split-screen campaign co-op and competitive multiplayer for up to 16 players through System Link also made it a fixture of couch sessions and LAN parties. It established the foundation for one of Xbox’s defining franchises. This copy is complete in box and in good condition.
